Asbury Christian Preschool is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable After School Care Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for school-age children during our after-school program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, encourages positive social interactions, and supports students’ academic, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities.
• Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain a structured and welcoming environment that promotes respect and responsibility.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s activities and behavior.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.
• Integrate Christian values and character development into daily interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with school-age children in a classroom, childcare, camp, or after-school setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Schedule
